Description

Morthouse at Udny Parish Church was designed by John Marr of Cairnbrogie, with masonry by Alex Wallace of Smiddyhill and carpentry by Thomas Smith of Old Meldrum in 1832. The building is circular and constructed from rough ashlar granite, topped with a truncated conical slate roof. It features a sturdy oak door equipped with a protective bar for the keyhole. Inside, there is a revolving coffin platform located 3 feet from the floor.
