Quadrant Walls, Inverurie Hospital, St James's Place and Upperboat Road, Inverurie

The Gate Lodge at Inverurie Hospital, designed by Robert Leslie Rollo between 1936 and 1940, is a 2-storey, 2-bay building in the International Modern style. It features an advanced single-storey bay to the right, with a roof that extends as a canopy over the doorway, marking the entrance to the hospital site. The lodge is constructed from smooth rendered and painted concrete blockwork, with end stacks on projecting chimney breasts and a flat roof that overhangs the wall-heads. The windows are metal-framed casements, arranged in various glazing patterns.

Surrounding the lodge are straight, splayed quadrant walls made of painted concrete blockwork, topped with low, square inner piers that have shallow pyramidal caps, as well as larger square terminating piers.

The interior was modernized for office accommodation as of 2013.
