Description
A pair of gatepiers, likely dating from around 1715, are located at the driveway entrance to Ellon Castle. The gatepiers are square in shape and feature alternating pulvinated bands alongside bands with double diamond panels. They have moulded bases and cornices, and each gatepier is topped with a moulded egg-shaped finial.
