Description
A small, rectangular, 3-bay gabled church dating from 1777. It is constructed of squared granite courses. The church has an entrance on its east gable end and two rectangular windows on its south side. It is roofed with grey slates, with lead flashing and coped skews to the gable ends. The interior, restored in 2001, is an open, plastered space and is currently used as an art gallery. This ecclesiastical building is partially used as such and is situated within the boundary wall of the ancient Migvie burial ground. Its arrangement is similar to churches and churchyards at Tarland and Coull. The interior restoration work was awarded in the 2002 Aberdeenshire Design Awards, and the church is notably used as a place for quiet reflection.
