Description
Stewart's Hall, located at 15-17 Gordon Street in Huntly, was originally built in 1875 by James Anderson and later rebuilt by Matthews and Mackenzie in 1886-1887 after a fire. The building is a symmetrical two-storey structure featuring a four-storey clock tower, which has corbelled angle turrets and a truncated pyramid roof. It is constructed from Syllavethy granite with Rhynie freestone dressings, although the stonework is badly weathered. The clock tower houses a bell made by J.C. Wilson. The ground floor has a sloped design.
