Description
The Aberdeen Savings Bank, located at 7 The Square in Huntly, was built in 1885. This two-storey building with an attic features five bays and is constructed from coursed granite. The ground floor has a modern three-bay bank facade that incorporates four original pilasters. On the first floor, there are outer bipartites, and the building is topped with a cornice and parapet that has end ball-finialled dies and a central pilastered pediment with a bull's eye. The roof includes four segmental-headed dormers in a slated mansard style, and there are corniced end stacks. The return gable facing Duke Street has two windows on both the ground and first floors.
