Description

The Coachhouse, dating from the 17th century, is a simple rectangular structure built of pinned rubble with cherry-cocking, straight skews and skewputts, and a pantiled roof. A finely moulded arch is present in the gable, and there is a coped chimney stack. This coach house originally formed wings of a U-shaped block of offices, as shown on William Urquhart’s estate map of 1781. To the south, a fragment of the cellars belonging to the now-demolished house of Logie remains. The house itself was demolished between 1828 and 1852.
