Description
East Lodge, likely designed by Simpson around 1825, is a single-storey building probably serving as a gatehouse to Crimonmogate House. It has been recently restored and slightly extended. The lodge presents a two-window facade with a central porch. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone with splayed window openings and a prominent belt course near the eaves. The roof is low-pitched and broadly eaved. A decorative doorpiece with console flourishes features on the porch. The building is described as picturesque. An estate map from 1834 depicts the lodge as part of the Crimonmogate House estate.
