Description

The Old Laundry, part of Crimonmogate House, was probably built around 1825 by Simpson. It is constructed of rubble with granite dressings, exhibiting a simple architectural treatment. The building has four window bays, with a band of seven openings positioned above. The building’s group value, originally assessed as B, was re-categorised to C(S) in 2006, reflecting the collective interest of the site. This listing applies both to the building’s exterior and interior. An estate plan from 1834 shows the laundry’s location.
