Description
The Mill of Crimond is a tall, two-storey structure with a loft and basement, built in its current form in the mid to late 19th century. It has an L-shaped plan, with the kiln section being taller. The building is constructed from pinned boulder rubble, featuring granite and brick dressings around the openings. There is a former peamill located parallel to the west, which is now in a ruinous state. This peamill includes a cast-iron frame overshot wheel measuring 13 feet 6 inches by 4 feet 8 inches, with wooden buckets positioned between the wheel. The mill is currently disused and partly dismantled.
