Walled Garden, Finzean House

The Walled Garden at Finzean House, dating from the late 19th century, features a near rectangular plan and is gently terraced. The walls are constructed of rubble with coping that slopes down to the south. At the corners of the garden, there are square-plan granite gatepiers topped with spherical finials, located in the quadrant walls. The southern entrance has a cast-iron two-leaf gate, while the eastern wall has square-plan granite gatepiers, although the spherical finials are missing. This entrance is flanked on the left by a doorway that has a panelled and boarded timber gate. There is also a cast-iron gate in the centre of the western wall and the northern walls adjoin Finzean House, which is not listed, featuring a slatted timber gate to the east.

On the eastern wall at the southern end, there is a vertically boarded timber ancillary structure designed in a cottage orne style. This structure has decorative timber barge boards, glazed oriel windows, and a boarded timber door with a timber hoodmould above it. The roof is made of purple-grey slate with a lead ridge, and there is a corniced red brick wallhead stack at the rear.
