Description

The Sir John S Forbes Memorial Fountain, located on Main Street in Fettercairn, was designed in 1869 by architect David Bryce and sculptor John Rhind. The fountain is built of Redhall sandstone and is in a Gothic style. It has a square plan with an octagonal, crocketted spirelet atop a stepped base. The fountain is referenced in Cameron’s ‘The History of Fettercairn’.
