Description
61-63 Castle Street in Banff is a building that likely has an 18th century core but has undergone significant alterations in the 19th century. It is a two-storey and attic structure with two bays, serving as both a house and a shop. The exterior is harled, featuring a narrow three-bay shop with an entrance on the ground floor and a pend entrance to the left. On the first floor, there are two windows with renewed plate glass glazing. The building also has a pair of late 19th century canted wallhead dormers, which include plate glass and four-pane timber sash and case glazing. The coped end stacks have been renewed, and the roof is covered with slate.
