Description
Gowanlee, located on Kintore Street in Auchenblae, was built in 1876. It is a two-storey building with an attic, constructed from ashlar stone. The northeast gable faces the street and features two windows at ground level, which are flanked by stone cantilever brackets that support shallow rectangular oriel windows with piended roofs. There is a projecting string course at the first-floor level, along with a lozenge date plaque above. The northwest side is made of rubble and includes ground and first-floor windows, as well as a canted dormer with four-pane sash windows. The roof is slated, with straight skews and skewputts at the gable facing the street, and there are brick stacks at the ends.
