Description
Central School, located on Charlotte Street in Fraserburgh, was designed by James Matthews of Matthews and Mackenzie in 1882. This building is a tall, baronial style structure that is two stories high, made of rough granite ashlar with crowsteps and bullfaced lower courses. It features a prominent four-story saddleback clock tower, which includes a stair turret with an arched top stage and a candle-snuffer roof.
