Description

Later 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay cottage ornee lodge. Coursed tooled granite finely finished to margins. Base course; overhanging eaves; pierced decorative bargeboarding.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: symmetrical; gableted porch advanced to centre, Tudor-arched stop-chamfered doorway and outer angles, panelled timber door with letterbox fanlight, single windows to flanking bays to left and right.

E (WATSON STREET) ELEVATION: asymmetrical; 2-bay; gabled bay advanced to left, 3-light canted window to ground floor, window set in gablehead of attic floor; window to ground floor of flanking bay to right, gableted dormer breaking eaves above, cast-iron flower finial.

N ELEVATION: asymmetrical; 2-bay; gabled bay to left, flat-roofed addition to ground floor, dormer in re-entrant angle of attic flanked by modern skylight.

W ELEVATION: gabled bay to right, 2 symmetrically placed windows to ground floor, single window centred in gablehead of attic floor; flat roofed addition adjoining to outer left with modern window to centre.

Predominantly 2-pane modern PVCu glazing. Purple grey slate roof with fishscale banding and lead ridge. Coped stone skews with decorative circular cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.
