Description
Westholme is a building located at Woodend General Hospital in Aberdeen, designed by Brown and Watt as part of the original Oldmill Poorhouse complex that opened in 1907. It serves as the original nurses' home and is a large two to three-storey block that features a character slightly different from the other original buildings. The design includes Scots Renaissance detailing, with granite on the ground floor and harled walls above, complemented by ashlar dressings. The building has crow-stepped gables, prominent stacks, varying roof heights, and small-paned sash and case windows, some of which have pedimented dormer heads.
