24 Rubislaw Den North, Aberdeen

24 Rubislaw Den North is a villa built in 1906 by John Henderson. It is a two-storey and attic, three-bay structure made of tooled coursed grey granite, featuring contrasting light grey dressings on the south elevation, while the rest is constructed from coursed rubble. The building has a rough-faced base course, projecting cills, a dividing string course, and overhanging eaves.

The south elevation is asymmetrical, with a central doorway on the ground floor that has a two-leaf panelled timber door and a letterbox fanlight, accessible by stone steps. Above this door is a single window on the first floor. To the right, there is a five-light canted window on the ground floor, which has a parapet forming a balcony above with a tripartite window on the first floor. On the left, a piend-roofed bay is advanced, featuring a tripartite window on the ground floor and a bipartite window on the first floor.

The east elevation is blank, with a gablet detail at the wallhead stack. The north elevation was not visible in 2000. The west elevation includes a large round-arched stair window near the center, with irregular fenestration elsewhere. There is also a gablet detail at the wallhead stack to the right and a single-storey and attic wing on the outer left.

The villa predominantly features two-pane timber sash and case windows, a piended grey slate roof with lead ridges, corniced gablehead stacks with circular cans, and cast-iron rainwater goods.

The gatepiers and boundary walls consist of square-plan piers on the south with shallow pyramidal caps and low coped walls between them, while the remainder is made of rubble walls.
