Description
Single storey, rubble-built former outbuilding, of probable late 19th century construction, converted to dwelling house in 1985. The property is set to the N side of a short lane, to the E of Newcastle Road, within the village of Seaforde. The front façade faces S and is (roughly) symmetrical. To the centre is a large elliptical arched opening which was originally a carriage entrance. This is brick dressed (as are most of the openings- with brick also used as ‘quoins’) and filled with a modern doorscreen. To the left is a relatively small window with modern multi-pane frame (all frames are similar). There is a similar window to the right of the doorway. To the W gable there is a modern window, inserted in 1985. A tall rubble wall extends from the right hand edge of this gable. The E gable has a window as W gable. To the rear there are three windows of varying sizes and a modern door (to right). The gabled roof is covered in natural slate with two Velux windows to the front and one to the rear. Single brick chimney stack (to E).
