Description
One of a terrace of three three-storey houses directly fronting the west side of Kilmorey St. This example is in the middle and is two bays wide. Natural slate gabled roof with cement- rendered chimney at left. Half round metal rainwater goods with down pipe at right on main façade (shared with no. 17). Street elevation has smooth rendered-walls over raised base course and projecting eaves. A granite step leads to main entrance at right. Painted four-panel (raised and fielded) timber door with modern brass door furniture; rectangular transom light above. Door opening has raised rendered jambs with strap consoles supporting projecting entablature. At left is 2/2 (vertically divided) sliding sash window. Two identical windows to first and to second floors, in line with each other, but offset to left of ground floor openings. All windows have exposed boxes, moulded architraves and granite cills. Ground floor window is wider than the rest, and those on top floor are diminished in height. Abutted by houses on both gables. Rear wall cement rendered, with projecting eaves course. Plastic rainwater goods on this side. An original two-storey natural slate gabled return projects at left. To right are 1/1 hop-hung plastic windows – one to each floor. At top left, over the return, is an identical window. The return has three top-hung windows on right cheek at first floor (ground floor not visible as inspected from no. 21).
