Description
Three storey building on west side of Abbey Way (now returned to its original name of Upper Water Street). Pitched artificial slate roofwith red brick chimney to right gable. Half round gutters on projecting eaves course. Wall to façade is of coursed and squared granite rubble, all heavily repointed in cement. At ground floor is a modern shop front with boxed roller shutter. To right end is a six-panel timber door with plain transom over (leading into rear yard). Between G/F and F/F is a painted timber fascia supported on timber pilasters. There are two openings to each upper floor. All are 1/1 exposed box sliding sashes, with granite cills and three-piece voussoired heads; those on second floor have horns and are slightly diminished in height. Left and right gables abutted by adjoining buildings. Rear elevation is completely abutted by a large cement rendered return with all modern windows and doors.
