Description
A ruinous barn church (now almost completely covered in vegetation) occupying an elevated site, accessed by eleven granite steps. It is aligned NE to SW on the W side of Lower Foughill Road. Roof is gone. Walls are cement wet-dashed over rubble stone (but smooth cement to SW gable) with stepped cement-rendered quoins to NE gable and advanced brick eaves. NE gable has a two centred-arch door opening to centre with a smooth lime rendered stepped surround. A timber beam at arch spring level indicates a former transom. In wall above, to either side, is a lancet-headed window opening. Each side elevation is three lancet window openings wide with chamfered jambs, internal brick reveals and granite cills. Vestiges of stepped lime rendered architraves can be seen. SW gable is blank. 1862 datestone cited in HMBB survey card of April 1991 not evident.
