Description

Relatively small, single storey former railway goods shed of c.1897 with large modern lean-to extension. The building is located next to the former Tullymurry station, on the S side of Ballydugan Road, c.4 miles SW of Downpatrick. The building now contains a small metalworking ‘shop’. The shed is a simple gabled stone building with an arched opening to the S side of each gable. Each opening is dressed with cut stone. Each opening has a sliding door: that to the W is sheeted timber while that to the W is corrugated iron. Walls are in random mixed rubble with dressed quoins. There is a large door opening to the left side of the N wall. The S side is obscured by a large modern concrete block extension. The roof is slated. RW goods are in cast iron. Just to the E side is a small railway crane which appears to be complete.
