Description

A symmetrical three-bay two-storey gabled Orange hall designed in an indeterminate style with Gothic Revival overtones, with a central projecting entrance bay which rises to an extra storey to form a tower surmounted by ornamental wrought iron parapet railings which provide the main feature of interest on the building. Roof of concrete tiles, replacement, inappropriate; walls roughcast with painted stucco quoins and painted cement rendered dressings to windows; windows to first floor of entrance front segmental headed, timber fixed lights with top-hung vents, replacements, inappropriate; windows ground floor of entrance front, rectangular PVC with two horizontal divisions, replacements, inappropriate. Gable windows to each end a mixture of PVC replacements and original timber sliding sash, vertically hung, 1 over 1, with horns. Gothic arched entrance with double doors, six panel timber, surmounted by tympanum bearing inscription; projecting flat canopied open porch, later addition, inappropriate. Gothic arched blind panel in top storey of tower; Gothic corbel course to tower cornice; central flagpole on top. The building stands on an elevated site set back slightly form the main road, approached by a flight of steps flanked by a front garden area concreted over to each side.
