Description
The building at 49 Point Street, Larne, was a two-storey house constructed around 1860 and demolished sometime in the 1970s or 1980s. It was recorded in a 1970 survey as having rendered walls and a slated roof. The ground floor windows featured plain sash windows, while some first-floor windows retained full glazing bars. The house had a modern door and a plain, rectangular fanlight above it. Quoins were present at the extremities of the building, and the doorway had a block surround and an elliptical arch with a tympanum. The facade was described as having an almost lost character. The site is now occupied by a shopping centre.
