Description
Fruit Vale is a late Victorian, two-storey, three-bay house situated on Springhill Road in Hillsborough. It was surveyed during the First Survey but not listed, and a Partial Survey was undertaken during the Second Survey due to a lack of significant historic interest. Comparison of the building with images from the First Survey reveals substantial alterations. These include the replacement of the original pitched roof with a hipped roof, and the substitution of the windows with uPVC. As a result of these changes, the house has largely lost its historic character. It is currently in use as a house.
