24 Innishmore Road, Lisbellaw, Enniskillen, Co.Fermanagh

This house, along with its attached neighbour, was built between 1856 and 1860. They were likely constructed by their original occupants, John Henderson and John Eadie, who established the Henderson & Eadie Ltd. woollen manufacturing firm after taking over a nearby mill in 1858. Mr. Henderson initially lived in a separate house at 34 Farnamullan Road, while Mr. Eadie resided next door at 24 Innishmore Road.

Differences in brick colour and the shape of the first-floor lintels suggest the houses may have started as smaller, two-bay structures, possibly even detached, with a central section added later to create the current semi-detached arrangement. This alteration likely occurred shortly after the initial construction. Valuation records indicate extensions were made to both houses in or shortly before 1907, likely involving the large rear additions which have a different appearance from the original fabric. A smaller, detached structure to the southeast, built around 1885-86, served as a dairy and laundry.

The Henderson and Eadie families, descendants of the original owners, remained at this location until at least the 1930s. The buildings were recorded in 1977, and the listing includes the wrought iron fence.
