Description

Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1850, located to the north of Tattysallagh Road. Rectangular-on-plan. Roof is pitched natural slate with terracotta ridge tiles; sandstone chimneys. Walls are roughcast with painted ashlar sandstone quoins over painted plinth. Windows are timber framed 6/6 sliding sash in smooth reveals (diminished at first floor) to principal elevation; 2/2 sliding sash elsewhere; painted sandstone sills. Principal elevation faces east and consists of central entrance containing replacement timber-panelled door surmounted by transom light flanked at each side by single window; three windows at first floor. South elevation contains single window at first floor right. West elevation contains, at left, two windows at ground floor surmounted by timber casement window at first floor; central bay contains replacement timber-panelled entrance door at ground floor; single window at first floor; at right, single window at each floor. North elevation is blank; abutted at ground floor by timber framed shelter. Setting Set within private grounds bounded to road at south by rubble boundary wall; access through pair of concrete block piers with sandstone coping. Two-storey rubble outbuilding at north; pitched corrugated metal roof; timber framed sliding sash windows; vertically-sheeted timber doors; exterior stair to north provides access to loading door at first floor.
