Bridge, Cornavarrow Road, Drumquin, Co Tyrone, BT78 4RN

This is a single-span road bridge, built around 1810, carrying Cornavarrow Road over a stream. The bridge is constructed of rubble stone with decorative rockfaced sandstone dressings to the voussoirs of the single round-headed arch. The arch soffit is rendered with cement. The parapets and spandrels are of random rubble, with rounded sandstone coping to the parapet ends. The carriageway is approximately 3 metres wide. The bridge is located on a remote rural road, surrounded by agricultural land with riverbanks bounded by hedging and mature trees. It appears on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of 1833. While featuring some ornamentation such as sandstone voussoirs and rounded coping, the bridge’s appearance is somewhat diminished by cement repairs. Although it does not meet the criteria for statutory protection, it's construction date is suggested by the small span of the arch and the inclusion of decorative elements.
