A church in a Romanesque-Revival style comprising a nave and semi-circular chancel, with square tower and later gabled porch. Main entrance faces north-west. Roofs slated. Walls rendered roughcast with limestone rubble quoins and dressings including flat pilaster-buttresses to main entrance front. Later modern entrance porch built over original main entrance. Tower at north-west corner is square, 3-stage, with a stone-built belfry storey which has chamfered corners stopped at the base by spherical mouldings; steep pyramidal roof oversailing on brackets. Datestone on north side above ground floor 3-light window. Front porch flanked each side on main nave gable by small recessed cut stone stoups set in a circular niche. SETTING: The building stands in a rural area, facing the public road, but set back from it within its own grounds. Grounds laid with tarmac. Front boundary formed by ornamented iron gates set between cast iron piers flanked by similar ornamental iron railings which extend to modern plain railings.
