St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Eagralougher Road, Loughgall, Co Armagh

St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church was built between 1900 and 1919, according to a datestone on the north side. The church is constructed in a Romanesque-Revival style and includes a nave, a semi-circular chancel, a square tower, and a later gabled porch. The main entrance faces north-west. The roofs are slated, and the walls are rendered with roughcast over limestone rubble, with limestone quoins and dressings, and flat pilaster-buttresses to the main entrance front. A modern entrance porch was later built over the original main entrance. The square tower, located at the north-west corner, is three-stage, featuring a stone-built belfry storey with chamfered corners stopped at the base by spherical mouldings, and a steep pyramidal roof oversailing on brackets. A datestone is set above a ground floor three-light window. The front porch is flanked on each side of the main nave gable by small recessed cut stone stoups set in a circular niche. The church is situated in a rural area, set back from the public road within its own grounds, which are laid with tarmac. The front boundary consists of ornamented iron gates set between cast iron piers and ornamental iron railings, which extend to modern plain railings.
