Description
The building was formerly a single-storey schoolhouse, built with split rubble walls and originally possibly rendered with a low harled finish to the north. It was constructed sometime before 1833, as it does not appear on the Ordnance Survey map of that year. The school was in use until around 1963. It featured timber windows with fixed lower panes and smaller panes above, and had a gable entrance porch. A schoolmaster, Patrick Bronte, worked in an adjoining building. The building was partially derelict when surveyed in 1975 and has since been replaced by a more recent structure. This is a partial survey only, and the building is not listed.
