Description
This single-storey gate lodge was built between 1860 and 1879, serving Darton Hall. It was originally constructed in 1870 and extended and extensively refurbished around 2018. The lodge, designed by John Boyd, was surveyed during the First Survey but was not listed. A partial survey was taken during the Second Survey but deemed not of sufficient merit for a full survey. The decorative iron gates, which originally belonged to a neighbouring contemporary gate screen, have been replaced. The building functions as a gate lodge.
