Description

The Aghagallon Bridge is a single-span road bridge crossing the Lagan Navigation waterway at Aghalee. It is constructed with rubble stone abutments, spandrels, and parapets, and features brick voussoirs. The bridge has been widened and a large service pipe has been attached to it. Although surveyed in the First Survey and recorded in the Second Survey (record number ANT 67:501), the bridge is not listed and does not meet the criteria for listing, but is due to be scheduled as a monument.
