Church hall, Second Presbyterian Church, Killinchy Street, Comber, Co. Down, BT23 5AP

The site is that of a former single-storey school house, built between 1860 and 1879 and later used as a church hall. It was located to the rear of the Second Comber Presbyterian Church, to the west of Killinchy Street and south of Comber town centre. The original building was demolished in 1993 and replaced with a larger, two-storey hall. The former school house, as surveyed in March 1970, had a slated, gabled roof on its north face and west end. The walls were constructed of squared rubble, and it featured drop-hung windows with Georgian panes. A recent gabled entrance was located at the southeast corner, with a rendered, lined, and painted wall. The original building was funded largely by John Smyth of New Comber House, a session member, and was built alongside the manse. Primary source material relating to the site includes Ordnance Survey maps dated 1858 and 1901, held at the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI).
