7 Inishargy Road, Inishargy, Kircubbin, Newtownards, Co. Down, BT22 2RG

This is a single-story, gabled house likely dating to before 1834, situated along a narrow farm track off Inishargy Road, north of Kircubbin, County Down. The house has been modernised with flat-roofed extensions added to the front and rear.

The front (southwest) elevation features a centrally positioned flat-roofed porch with a timber and glazed door on the right (southeast) side and two large two-pane PVC windows to the front. A further window is located to the left of the porch, while a large flat-roofed extension with a similar window sits to the right. The northwest gable is blank, and the southeast gable has a large PVC casement window. The rear elevation presents a mixture of mainly large PVC windows, along with a small lean-to extension containing a timber and glazed rear door. The front and gables are finished with rough cast render, while the rear is largely unrendered. The roof is pitched and gabled, covered with Bangor blue slates, and features three red brick chimney stacks with stone parapets. PVC gutters and downspouts are present.

The house is shown on an Ordnance Survey map of 1834, albeit without the later extensions. Until recently, the house appears to have largely retained its original form, though it has now been altered with the addition of the extensions and the replacement of windows with PVC frames. Valuation records from around 1835 and 1863 also document the property. Its design is vernacular.
