Description

A rectangular group of buildings arranged around a yard. Main entrance gateway faces east. North side of yard occupied by a single storey modern shed with corrugated iron roof. South side occupied by a 2-storey gabled and slated range, rendered, with ledged timber doors. West side occupied by a gable-fronted 2-storey barn of basalt rubble: segmental arched opening now partly blocked up, containing a rectangular doorway. Slated roof; ocular opening in apex of gable. Main entrance gateway comprises a pair of square piers, smooth cement rendered, with moulded cornice; modern tubular iron gate. SETTING: The building group stands a short distance to the north of Glendaragh House, within the extensive and secluded grounds of the house. It is surrounded by agricultural land and mature trees. An ice house stands in a field to the north-east (HB20/14/022C).
