Moylinny Mill, 9 Nursery Park, Muckamore, Antrim, Co Antrim, BT41 1QR

Moylinny Mill is a former mill building likely dating to the late 18th century, but certainly present by the early 19th century. The building has been altered, being reduced from three storeys and an attic to two storeys and an attic. Its original mill fittings and machinery were removed during a conversion to a house, which diminished its original architectural and historic interest.

The mill is a two-storey, five-bay building with attics, accompanied by a single-storey block on one side. The main entrance faces west. It features a slated roof and basalt rubble walls, with timber sash windows. The building is set within its own grounds, facing the river and located well back from the public road, approached via a long driveway.

The precise date of the mill’s construction is unrecorded, but it appears on the Ordnance Survey map of 1832 as part of a complex identified as a “Paper Mill.” The 1857 Ordnance Survey map labels the complex as a “Bleach Mill.” It is believed to have been originally built by the Reford family, later passing to the Chaine family and then to the York Street Flax Spinning Co Ltd. By 1902, the Ordnance Survey map indicates it was a "Beetling Mill." The conversion to a private house, including the removal of fittings, machinery, and the second storey, occurred in 1964. The building retains some industrial archaeological interest.
