Description
The building at 2 and 4 Castle Street, Antrim, was a three-storey, five-bay house likely constructed between 1800 and 1819. It appears on the Ordnance Survey map of 1833. The exterior was originally built of coursed rubble blackstone, with two bays later stuccoed and fitted with a shop front. The roof was slated and hipped. Most windows were plain sashed, except for three on the first floor. A panelled street door was topped with a flattened fanlight. A narrow entry with rough stone voussoirs led to the rear of the property. The house was demolished to make way for a landscaping scheme.
