Lodge, Mossley House, Ballyhenry, Co Antrim

This is a detached, three-bay former gate lodge, originally built around 1850, and incorporating an attic storey. It has a gabled entrance porch. The lodge was initially cement-rendered, and extended around 1990, resulting in the loss of its original plan, interior features, and historic character. The window and door openings retain their original hood mouldings, although only two original windows remain in the entrance porch. The building’s former use was as a gate lodge, and its current use remains the same. The building was surveyed during a previous heritage survey but was not listed at that time, and is now considered not worthy of a full, detailed survey, though a partial record has been taken.
