Description

The folly at Willowbrook was a brick and stone structure built sometime between 1840 and 1859. It comprised a crenellated circular tower connected by a wing wall to a square turret. It appeared on Ordnance Survey maps from 1832-3 and 1901-2, but was absent from the 1850s Second Edition Ordnance Survey map. The building, along with the associated house named Willowbrook, is no longer present, having been demolished. The site is now occupied by Ulster Bank. This building was recorded during the First Survey, but was not originally listed. It was later delisted on 5th August 2010, as it was considered not worthy of a full Second Survey.
