Abbotscroft, Doagh Road, Whiteabbey, Co Antrim

Abbotscroft was a detached, three-bay, two-storey rendered house built around 1870. It faced west and stood within its own grounds at the end of a long avenue, located to the east of the Shore Road in Whiteabbey, County Antrim. The building was demolished and replaced by a two-storey military building constructed around 1980. A former stone and brick outbuilding remains situated to the north of the current military building. The initial survey record contains no detailed information about Abbotscroft. This building is not considered worthy of a full survey and is not listed; a partial record was taken because it was surveyed in an earlier record but not listed at that time.
