Description
The stocks are located against the north wall of the tower of the Church of St Mary. They are possibly from the 17th century and were restored around 1892, then placed under a cover. The stocks are made of wood, with the end sections renewed, and feature metal hinges and a concrete plinth. They have a slate roof with cement coping and a timber-framed cover. The stocks have five circular openings, with a sixth likely not replaced during the restoration. The cover is supported by timber uprights at the gable ends and has supporting struts.
