Description

The Manor House is a building that has been converted into a house, originally constructed in 1674 with an early to mid-18th century wing added later. It features coursed and squared rubble with coped verges and bases for finials, topped with double Roman tile roofs and a brick stack. The oldest section, located on the right, is two stories high with an attic and consists of two bays. It has three-light moulded stone-mullioned windows, except for the two-light stone-mullioned windows in the attic, which are located in front-facing dormer gables. All windows are fitted with leaded lights. The central door opening is framed by a massive freestone surround and features a studded plank door with strap hinges.

To the left is a two-story, single-bay 18th-century wing, which has 12-pane sash windows set in moulded freestone architraves, complete with emphasised keys and cornice drips, as well as moulded sills. There is also a single-storey outshut on the right return. The forecourt wall is made of coursed and squared rubble with dressed stone coping, rising to a pair of central ashlar gate piers that have moulded caps with ball finials. The entrance is marked by 20th-century wooden gates, which are accessed by four stone steps. Inside, the house features 18th-century panelling and chimney pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries.
