Description

This is a pair of 18th-century houses, now a post office with a residential element. They stand on the north side of Church Street in Kilmersdon. The buildings are constructed of coursed and squared rubble stone, with dressed quoins. They have coped verges and a tile roof, with brick and rubble stacks. The architectural style is Tudor Revival.

The houses are two storeys high and have eight bays. They originally featured 2-light casement windows in freestone surrounds, with stopped labels. The ground floor now has two 3-light canted bays with stone-tiled roofs. They have three door openings, each with dressed stone surrounds, two of which have stopped labels. The doors are panelled and flush-panelled. Small sunken garden forecourts lie at the front of the properties, each accessed by three steps down from the road and enclosed by plain wrought-iron railings.
