Description
The Old Chapel, now a dwelling with a workshop, is a Wesleyan chapel built in 1837. It features ashlar stonework with sections of coursed and squared rubble, and a hipped slate roof. The front and right side have a freestone frieze and a moulded cornice, along with a parapet and coping. The symmetrical facade has three bays with sash windows that have glazing bars, arranged over two levels. The ground floor windows have cambered heads, while the first floor windows have semi-circular heads. A central door opening is framed by an emphasized architrave and a cornice hood, leading to paired panelled doors. The returns have large semi-circular head sash windows with glazing bars and emphasized freestone surrounds, with two on the left side and three on the right. At the rear, there is a lower wing with a pantile and tile roof, featuring a coped verge with a cruciform finial and a semi-circular head sash window with glazing bars on the west side. The property also includes a railed forecourt.
