Description

The Old Vicarage, now a house, likely originated in the medieval period, with significant alterations in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed rubble with concrete double-Roman tile and plain tile roofs, featuring coped verges. There are brick and rubble stacks, including a small stone arcaded chimney lantern. The house has a cross-gabled roof, and the main entrance front faces at a right angle to the road.

The two-storey, three-bay structure has two and three-light stone-mullioned windows with some leaded lights, and sash windows with glazing bars. A central door opening is reached via a six-panelled door, surmounted by a wooden shell hood supported on brackets and thin circular supports, with trellis side panels. An elevation facing the road includes two blocked door openings with freestone surrounds, one featuring a four-centred head. The interior is said to contain a medieval floor. A run of wrought-iron railings, in a conforming style, runs at a right angle to the frontage, including a gate.
