Description

Number 5 Cheap Street is a building with origins dating back to the 16th century and details from the 17th century, along with later alterations. It features a stucco bargeboarded front gable and stands two storeys tall. The first floor has a modern canted bay supported by brackets, with modern leaded casements. The shop front is also modern. At the rear, the building rises to 2½ storeys over a basement, constructed of rubble. It has a gabled attic with a stone file course below. The first and ground floors have three-light casements with wooden lintels, and the ground floor window includes ogee wood mullions.
