Description

22 Cheap Street is a building that possibly dates from 1752, as indicated by a lease from Lord Cork to Thomas Maynard. The structure is finished in stucco and features a mansard roof with a stone-tiled lower pitch and an attic dormer. It stands at 2½ storeys high. On the first floor, there is a glazing bar sash window with a later 18th-century surround that has an ogee moulded outer edge. The mid-19th century shop window is a square bay now fitted with plate glass and has a moulded cornice, with part of the original reeded door surround still visible.
