Description

These are two buildings on Cheap Street, dating back to the 18th century with a later modification to the front. The front elevation is stuccoed and has a pantile roof. The building is three storeys high, with one window on the second floor and two on the first floor. The windows on the first floor are 19th-century sash windows set in flush frames. A modern shop front has been installed. The rear of the building, which faces Apple Alley, is also three storeys high and has a basement. The building has two bays; the right-hand bay is rounded and set back. Each floor has one window. The left-hand bay has a range of paired sash windows dating to around 1800. One of the second-floor windows retains part of an original mullion window with an ovolo moulded wooden frame. The rear wall was rebuilt in 1980, and original features were retained during the work.
