Description

Number 6 Cheap Street is a building with origins dating back to the 16th century, although it has been altered over time. The exterior is finished in stucco, featuring a large front gable adorned with ornamental bargeboards. The attic has a wooden casement window, while the first floor is fitted with sash windows that include glazing bars. The building has a modern shop front and a slate roof. At the rear, facing Apple Alley, it stands 2½ storeys tall over a basement and is constructed of rubble. The gabled attic has a stone string course above a two-light casement window and another stone tile string course below it. Additionally, the building incorporates a pigeon loft above the first floor and has outside steps leading to a modern lobby.
